Serve: Serving from Waaaaay Back

Written by  Scott Baker
This drill is a good way to help develop a good top spin serve. Grab a bucket of balls and try standing behind the baseline back up almost against the fence (or wall). The goal is to still serve the ball into the correct service box, but using all spin. You should use as much arc as you can created by just spinning the ball. But here's the kicker, don't use your legs to help serve the ball, this is simply a drill to help you develop topspin on the ball. Generate as much spin as you can using your arm and wrist.
